This month of January 2018, on #OurRights Challenge we work with Female Bulawayo Human Rights Defender Ms Tshabalala who has taken up the Challenge and is campaigning for children and adults to get birth certificates.
“Children dont have birth certificates and this affects them from going to school and some adults dont have I.Ds and Birth Certificates and i want them to get Birth Certificates so that they can get I.Ds and register to vote in the current BVR process” said Ms Tshabalala.
With technical support from MIHR Tshabalala is engaging civil society organizations who will assist the community members with documentation to get the birth certificates.
