Bulawayo Ward 13 Residents Present Water Petition

The Bulawayo Water Action Iminyela group in Bulawayo’s ward 13 community has presented a petition to the councilor Mr Frank Javangwe calling for the Bulawayo City Council to supply bowsers in the 4 sections of Iminyela suburb.

The petition which got 251 signatures argue that:

1. Residents share toilets upto 4-8 houses and therefore they need constant water supply;
2. Due to nonprovision of bowsers, they rely in water they collect from white city stadium taps and that is dangerous for children, the elderly and people with disabilities as they cross the busy Pumula road highway.

The Council received the petition that was presented by mostly a delegation of women and promised to take it up with relevant council offices for action.
