Water Violence Survey Media Briefing

Yesterday (Tuesday 04 May 2021) MIHR held a Press Brief to launch the survey report on violence in Bulawayo’s alternative water points.

The report entitled “Fighting For Water – voices of women and girls on water point violence” captures findings of a survey that was done in Bulawayo’s 7 wards and targeting women and girls as respondents.

The report shows that the majority of women, girls and children experienced violence in alternative water points.

MIHR will use the survey to engage various stakeholders involved in water governance issues.
